What we do
We have an ongoing Community Orchard Project, launched in 2016 - click HERE for more information
In collaboration with the Rideau Lakes Public Library, in 2020 we created the B.I.G bag project for kids - B.I.G stands for Beginners In Gardening - more information on our YouTube channel
In 2019 we began a collaboration with Rideau District High School and helped with their greenhouse project, and hosted our annual plant sale with their help at the school. We received the OHA District 3 Sowing Seeds award in 2020. The Sowing Seeds Award is presented annually to a District 3 Society or Club which has demonstrated an engagement with youth in their community.
We planted 2 pollinator gardens and received the OHA District 3 Pollinator Haven grant in 2018
We distribute a quarterly newsletter called 'The Lilypad' to our members
