The Rideau Lakes Horticultural Society is a volunteer run, not for profit organization located in the beautiful area known as The Rideau Lakes. Established in 1969, our inclusive group is keen to encourage interest in gardening in our community. Over 55 years of continuous involvement in Rideau Lakes, Ontario!

Our Annual PLANT SALE is held the Saturday of the Victoria Long Weekend
In collaboration with the Rideau Lakes Public Library, in 2020 we created the B.I.G bag project for kids - B.I.G stands for Beginners In Gardening - more information on our YouTube channel
In 2019 we began a collaboration with Rideau District High School and helped with their greenhouse project. We received the OHA District 3 Sowing Seeds award in 2020. The Sowing Seeds Award is presented annually to a District 3 Society or Club which has demonstrated an engagement with youth in their community.
We planted 2 pollinator gardens and received the OHA District 3 Pollinator Haven grant in 2018
We distribute a quarterly newsletter called 'The Lilypad' to our members
We host meetings, garden tours, flower & garden shows
